General Description
Midwest Micro-Tek’s Ultra DP5 and Ultra DP5RH break the chilled
mirror hygrometer price/performance barrier by providing increased
resolution, less susceptibility to contamination, and portability
all at lower cost. All this without sacrificing the ±0.2
°C accuracy that chilled-mirror hygrometers are known for. The
Ultra DP5 and Ultra DP5RH utilize precision SAW hygrometer technology
to directly measure minute deposits of condensation, which greatly
increases measurement stability. The Ultra DP5 can continuously
monitor dew points between –20 °C and 60°C while the
Ultra DP5RH is capable of calculating and displaying % Relative
Humidity. Three outputs suitable for data logging, along with the
compact size of the DP5, makes it an excellent solution for a wide
variety of dew point and relative humidity applications.
Why Dew
Point?
Since dew point is a direct measurement, the use of dew point and
ambient temperature is becoming the preferred method to determine
relative humidity. Relative humidity measurements calculated from
the dew point do not suffer from the inaccuracies and drift associated
with relative humidity sensors. If you need to precisely measure
water vapor content of a process or other gas stream, you need the
accuracy and repeatability of the precision SAW hygrometer.
